Presentation Details

In this virtual Agile Forum, Rocío Briceño will share on the role of Social Impact Agile with respect to governance for both the private and public sector. Learning outcomes for this forum event include:

  • Awareness about your personal impact on your country; and
  • The importance of agile and project management in country development.

Biography Briceno-Rocio    

Rocío graduated from Harvard University in the USA, and from Costa Rica Institute of Technology, Rocío Briceño is a Computer Engineer, MBA, Cybersecurity certified, Coach, PMP, SAFe, Disciplined Agile, Scrum Master, and she is currently studying for her Ph.D. She was the vice-presidential candidate during the last Costa Rica elections (2022 – 2026 term) promoting Agile and Digital Transformations as part of the government plan to improve her country. She is co-author of the Social Impact Agile Manifesto, and co-founder of the SiAgile Movement along with Alistair Cockburn, as well as part of the leaders of several agile international communities and PMI communities.

Rocío has established long-service relations with public and private institutions in the USA, Latin America, and Europe as it relates to new product development and VMOs. She has given more than 200 talks worldwide about improving the organizations through Agile and Technology. She was recognized as part of the panel of experts on the future of Agility by Scrum Alliance on the 20th anniversary of Agile Manifesto. Nowadays, she leads the Agile portfolio of marketing and digitalization for one of the top ten global companies in healthcare working in the USA and Switzerland.
