The PMI Atlanta AEC Forum is a focus group that hosts regular events with ranging topics in the architectural, engineering, and construction fields. We will show the importance of solid project management in these related fields of study.

Presentation Details:

The Impact of System Engineering on Transit Industry and how it can be applied to any mix of Portfolios of Programs and/or Projects within any other industry. Holistic Thinking versus Silo or project focus. Do we have to change the organization to meet the System needs? or can we just force fit the Systems Engineering Methodology onto the enterprise?. There is no right or wrong answer. I hope to learn from the professionals in other industries and look forward to an interactive session.

Transformational Thinking is one way that we have looked at the challenges of creating a System Engineering Focused organization. There are probably other approaches on how to get to the destination to achieve Reduction in maintenance and life cycle costs.

Rowen is currently with MARTA and focuses on Systems Engineering. He has Masters in MIS from Sacramento State University and B. Tech Electronics Engineering From BHU-IIT, Varanasi. He worked for Schlumberger in the Oil Field Services Industry for 8 years; Communications industry for approximately 13 years with Pacific Bell in San Ramon, CA and SITA/Equant in Atlanta. Freelanced for two years running a food business, then worked for MARTA since January 2008 as a Senior Systems Engineer. His hobbies are Writing, Hiking, and Participating in Toastmasters Clubs. His dream is to travel the world visiting exotic places that I have not visited before.
