Description:
This workshop will empower you with new skills and a contemporary perspective. Our process is focused on enhancing the personal and organizational performance of leaders at all levels. Our goal is to enable organizations to achieve business goals by developing their most valuable resource - their leaders. This workshop explores the most critical, profound step towards dramatic improvements in leadership. Self-aware, leaders can clearly communicate their vision to stakeholders, partners, colleagues and employees. It's the key to creating a motivational climate where everyone is 'on board' and passionately rowing in the same direction.

Each student will be mailed a Copy of The Leader's Compass book to read prior to attending the workshop. The Leader's Compass, by Ed Ruggero and Dennis F. Haley, is the story of how one manager developed his personal statement on what he expects from his team and from himself.

Our Energize2Lead Profile™ is a comprehensive, on-line leadership style assessment that identifies the types of activities that energize a leader, as well as the activities that lead to frustration.

The survey results unleash the power of the three dimensions of a leader's energy:

(1) Preferred Style of Leading

(2) Socialized Expectations

(3) Instinctive Needs.

Course objectives:
In this course participants will:
  • Gain a greater understanding of how they think and act under ideal conditions, as well as when under stressful conditions and a greater understanding of how they interact with others and the challenges of interacting effectively with different personalities.
  • Learn blind spots and how to avoid them to work together more effectively with others of differing personality and leadership styles.
  • Participants will gain a greater understanding of how their profile impacts team dynamics and the overall effectiveness of the team. E2L strengthens the level of trust among team members.
  • Gain greater clarity about their core values and beliefs which are the foundation of leadership and how leaders influence their followers by providing purpose, direction, and motivation.
  • Learn the critical steps to develop their own personal leadership philosophy and will leave with a final working version of a Leader's Compass and a clear understanding of what is needed to complete their personal leadership philosophy.

Who should attend:
This course is ideal for project/program managers, operations/functional managers, quality professionals, project team members, business/systems analysts, technical specialists, subject matter experts, change agents, project stakeholders and anyone interested in improving their effectiveness as leaders and team members.  Since enrollment is limited, seating will be assigned on a first-come first-serve basis based on registration date.
