PMI Atlanta continues to strive for excellence in programs, events, and services.  An integral part of the success of PMI Atlanta’s activities is the dedication of the members of the Operations committee.  The members of the committee work to ensure that each program or activity runs smoothly.  You will find members of the committee doing everything from managing the registration activities to coordinating with venue staff at the various events. 

This year, PMI Atlanta plans to recognize the accomplishments of a variety of groups through heritage month activities throughout the year.  The Operations committee has taken the lead on planning these events.  This year, we kicked it off with Black History Month where we displayed some of the significant contributions African Americans have made in a variety of projects.  We will continue the recognitions in March (Women’s History Month), May (Asian American History Month), September (Hispanic Heritage Month), and November (Veterans Day).

The success of the Operations committee is attributed to the dedication of our volunteers.  Without the efforts of all of our volunteers, the meetings and events would not be able to run properly.  Although there are many volunteers that assist with operational activities, below is a description of the work of our lead volunteers.

The PMP Players, led by Jennifer Howard, will continue to bring you project management information and tips through entertaining stories and skits at the monthly dinner meetings.

Kathy Morison leads the dinner meeting operational activities.  Jim Branan and Nancy Pierce manage the downtown lunch and Alpharetta lunch meeting activities, respectively. Kathy, Jim, Nancy and their group of volunteers manage onsite registration, serve as speaker liaisons, and answer general questions from the members and guests.  

As we embark on a new year, we will continue to look for ways to enhance the chapter’s operational activities.  We hope you have a wonderful year, and look forward to serving you and the PMI Atlanta chapter.
